Sign the petition to let Village leadership know you don’t want to be left paying the bill for their inaction

Thank you for your interest in voicing your position to the leadership of the Village of Roberts.

If no action is taken, every resident in the Village is at risk for extreme utility cost increases over the already high rates, sharply declining property values, and significant tax increases that will be required to cover mitigation efforts. These costs continue to increase over time.

Tell Village Leadership to Stop Flooding Roberts

Attention Village President: Willard Moeri

As a concerned citizen, I strongly urge you and the other trustees to immediately investigate, quantify, report on, and mitigate the impact the Roberts water treatment plant has had on Twin Lakes over its lifetime, and will continue to have if no action is taken.

There is strong engineering evidence that left unchecked, the water treatment plant itself will be inundated with its own effluent within the foreseeable future, which will be devastating to the residents of the Village.   The loss of the water infrastructure, or the threat of such a loss will escalate the adverse affect on property values as well as economic development opportunities within the Village.

It is also clear that residents have been attempting to bring this to your attention for years, with the only response from Village leadership being denial.  I urge you to wake up and take action immediately, since the longer the issue persists, the more expensive it will be for the Village to mitigate.

Hoping the problem goes away on its own is not a viable strategy.
